About Mr. Emmanuel Amos Awak

Mr. Emmanuel Amos Awak graduated from Physics Department University of Calabar, Calabar with a Second Class Upper grade in 2009. He holds a B.Sc. in Applied Geophysics and M.Sc. in Exploration Geophysics, 2015. He was born a Teacher and developed the skills right from 2008 when he started teaching Physics and Further Mathematics in Limelight Secondary School, Calabar. During is NYSC year, he was equally teaching the same subjects in his PPA. On completion of NYSC, he returned to Calabar and continued teaching the same subjects in the same school until he moved to Topfaith International Secondary School, Mkpatak, Akwa Ibom State as Physics Master III, in September, 2013. Due to his M.Sc. programme, his stay in this school was short-lived and he returned to Calabar and taught Physics, Further Mathematics and Mathematics in Holy Family High School Calabar and as a part time Physics teacher in Auntie Margaret High School, Marian Road Calabar between 2013 and 2019. He groomed up his student to win an award (3rd Position) for Holy Family High School during the National Physics Quiz competition, a component of the Conference of Nigerian Institute of Physics (NIP) held in Federal University, Lafia, Nasarawa State in 2018. Prior to these periods, he was privately engaged in geophysical analyses and interpretation. Emmanuel Awak is an erudite and astute Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Physics, whose research interests are in the areas of Agro-Geophysics, Environmental/Engineering Geophysics and Theoretical Geophysics/Physics using machine learning. He is a keen, an outstanding young lecturer in the department who loves grooming young geoscientists, geophysicists and physicists into becoming legends in the future.
