About Dr. Effionwan Effiom Okon

Dr. Effionwan Effiom Okon, formally Mis Effionwan Felix Archibong, served in the Cross River State Ministry of Education as Classroom Teacher and later, Inspector, between 1991 and 2016 before joining the services of the University of Calabar in 2016 as A Lecturer II in the then Department of Educational Administration and Planning (now Educational Management). Effionwan was with the defunct Teachers’ Training College, Ikot Ansa, Calabar, where she obtained her Grade II Certificate in 1990. She later studied Physical and Health Education at the University of Calabar, Calabar, where she was awarded a B.Ed. degree in 2000. The University of Calabar later awarded her M.Ed. and Ph.D degrees in Educational Administration and Planning in 2004 and 2014 respectively. She has been teaching, researching and mentoring students in the University. Dr Effionwan Okon has published several journal articles and has also attended many academic conferences at both local and international levels. She is a registered teacher with the Teachers. Registration Council of Nigeria and a member of many other professional bodies including the Nigeria Association of Educational Administration and Planning.
