About Dr. Edu Michael Eyong

Dr (Mrs) Edu M. Eyong is a Lecturer I in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Calabar. She joined the University in 2013. Dr. Edu Eyong holds an MBBCh degree awarded to her by the University of Calabar in 1999 and a Postgraduate Medical Fellowship in Obstetrics/Gynaecology (FWACS) from the West African College of Surgeons. She has been teaching, supervising, and researching at the University since when she joined it. She is deeply involved in qualitative research and has published many articles in both local and international peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Eyong is a regular participant in many local and foreign conferences, seminars, symposia, and workshops where she made useful contributions. She is a member of several professional associations, among which are the Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of Nigeria and International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics. Also, she is a member of the Nigerian Medical Association, Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria, and Medical Women Association of Nigeria.
