About Dr. Edmond Asu Odok

Dr. Edmond Asu Odok joined the University of Calabar in 2012 as a Graduate Assistant and was upgraded to the rank of an Assistant Lecturer in 2015 shortly after he completed his M.Ed programme in Sociology and Psychology of Sports in the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education in the Faculty of Education. He was awarded Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Degree in Psychology of Sports in 2019 from the University of Calabar. He enjoyed study fellowship award (University of Calabar scholarship/staff development programme) for both his M.Ed and Ph.D programmes. Edmond has attended conferences and also presented research papers. He is a member of professional bodies including the Nigeria Association for Physical and Health Education, Recreation, Sports and Dance (NAPHER-SD), and Nigeria Association of Athletics Technical Officials (NAATO). He is currently the Examination Officer of the Department. Edmond has published several research papers in many reputable national and international refereed journals with over fifteen articles. Edmond teaches a number of courses in the undergraduate programme and he has supervised many undergraduate students projects in the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education.
