About Dr. Edem Essien Udoaka

Edem Essien Udoaka is a Barrister at Law and an Associate Professor in the Department of Commercial and Industrial Law, Faculty of Law, University of Calabar. He joined the Faculty of Law in May, 1995 as an Assistant lecturer. He was Head of the Department of Private Law (2009 – 2012) and Head of Department of Commercial and Industrial Law (2015 – 2018). He is an alumnus of University of Calabar, the Nigerian Law School and the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, Nigeria, where he obtained his Ph.D. Degree in Law in 2008. His current research is on Intellectual Property Law, and Law of Taxation. He has successfully supervised over 70 undergraduate projects, 5 LL.M. and 3 Ph.D. theses. He has over 25 articles in learned journals. His institutional email is [email protected].
