About Prof. Cyril Osim Ndifon

Professor Cyril Osim Ndifon is a Professor of Law in the University of Calabar, Calabar Nigeria. He holds an LL.B degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife (1989). He also holds two postgraduate degrees (LL.M and Ph.D) in Law. He specializes in the areas of comparative criminal law, International humanitarian law and International criminal law. By dint of hard work, Prof Ndifon rose through the ranks to the position of a Professor in the Faculty of Law in 2012. Professor Ndifon has held many positions of responsibility in the University of Calabar and beyond including Dean, Faculty of Law, Sub-Dean, Faculty of Law, Head of Department, Chairman, Faculty of Law Graduate Board and Examinations Officer. Prof. Ndifon has also served as member in various committees within the University such as Senate Examination Malpractice Committee, Senate Examination Results Vetting Committee, Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit and Committee of Deans. Prof. Ndifon is a consummate researcher with so many academic papers published locally and internationally and therefore has many publications to his credit. He has attended many conferences where he presented papers within and outside the country. He has also supervised many undergraduate and postgraduate students and some of his supervisees are now Professors of law. Professor Ndifon is also a member of such professional bodies as the Nigerian Bar Association, (NBA), National Association of Law Teachers, International Literacy Association. Prof. Ndifon’s philosophy of life is “Hard work and Enduring Courage.”
