Mrs Ushie, Christiana was employed into the Department of Environmental Education, University of Calabar on the 3rd of July, 2017 as Assistant Lecturer. She holds a B.Sc Hons Degree from the Department of Zoology and Environmental Science, University of Calabar, Postgraduate Diploma in Education Usman Dan-Fodio University Sokoto and a Master Degree in Environmental Education from the Prestigious University of Calabar. As a trained Educator who has taught at the three tiers of Education at different times, Mrs. Ushie since joining the University has been teaching and monitoring students. She has published Ten articles in reputable journals and presented papers in conference. She is a member of Environmental Tourism Educators/researcher association of Nigeria (ETERAN) and also a member of World Council for Curriculum and Instruction (WCII). In her quest for community service Mrs. Christiana Ushie served as supervisory councilor for finance Obanliku Local Government Area, Cross River State, presently she is the financial secretary Cross River Women Emancipation Initiative (CROWEI). She is married and blessed with four children.
