About Dr. Cajethan Ife Emechebe

Dr. Emechebe is a lecturer I in the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University of Calabar. His area of specialization is Community and social Obtetrics. He was employed in January, 2015 as a lecturer I and honorary consultant, UCTH, calabar. His undergraduate study was at University of Jos Plateau state where he obtained MBBCH from 1995 – 2003. He had residency training at University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, Calabar 2006 – 2014 where he obtained Fellow Hest African College of Surgeon (FWACS). Position held were chief resident, Obstetrics and Gynaecology UCTH, Calabar 2013-2014, Secretary to theatre management committee of maternity annex of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital 2012-2013 and examination officer of the department 2018-2019. He has published 28 research articles both in local and international journals. He attended several seminars such as postgraduate update courses in clinical Obstetrics and Gynaecology organization by the West African College of Surgeons, Health Resource Management course organized by the National Postgraduate medical college of Nigeria LUTH, March – April 2012 and 55th International Conference of the West Africa College Surgeons in Ivory Coast -July 2015. He has an award of Academic Excellence and Service to humanity by the Association of Resident Doctors of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital 2014.
