About Prof. Beshel Cletus Ushie

Professor Ushie Beshel is a trained teacher having started off with a Teachers Grade Two Certificate (TCII) in 1979, Nigeria Certificate in Education (N.C.E) in 1984, Bachelor of Education (Elementary Education) in 1989, Masters and Doctor of philosophy degrees in Educational Technology from the University of Uyo in 2000 and 2008 respectively. He has been lecturing in the tertiary level of education in Nigeria for over twenty seven years now, having taught several courses in Educational Technology, Instructional Communication, Multimedia Production, Microteaching and Computer in Education among others. He has published over 41 articles in both local and international journals; he has over 30 book chapter contributions and has attended over 22 conferences locally and internatonally. Prof Ushie has consulted for the World Bank / Universal Basic Education Teacher Professional Support Programme in Plateau State, He’s also served as a Resource person to the Federal Government of Nigeria OSSAP /MDGs Capacity Building Project on Developing Head Teachers’ Skills for Effective School Management in South South and North Central Nigeria, he is an External Examiner to the National Open University of Nigeria. He is a member of Educational Media and Technology Association of Nigeria (EMTAN), Nigerian Association of Teachers of Technology (NATT), International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria. He is married with children.
