About Dr. Bassey Igbo Ele

Dr. Bassey Igbo Ele (MCPN, MNCS) started lecturing from Cross River University of Technology as a Graduate Assistant in 2003 and then Joined University of Calabar as an Assistant Lecturer in 2013. He was promoted to the rank of Lecturer in October, 2016. Ele obtained a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc.) in Computer Science from University of Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria in 2001, Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Science and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence and Information System Security) from Ebonyi State University, Ebonyi State, Nigeria in 2010 and 2015 respectively. He is currently a lecturer II and Departmental Examination Officer/Staff Adviser in the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Calabar, Nigeria. He has taught many Computer Science courses and computer science related courses at tertiary level for over sixteen years and authored several books in Computer Science. Also, he has attended many professional conferences and published many professional articles in learned and reputable journals. He is a member of Nigeria Computer Science (NCS), Computer Professional Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN) and Research and Development Network (RDN). His research interests include Information System Security, Intrusion Detection Systems, Mathematical Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Network Security and Cybersecurity.
