About Mr. Anthony Tobias Okoro

Anthony Tobias Okoro is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, University of Calabar. He obtained his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Hons) Degree (Second Class Upper Division) and M.Sc. Degree in Computer Science from University of Calabar in 2011 and 2016 respectively. He graduated as best student among his peers in both degree programmes. Presently, he is studying for a PhD Degree in Computer Science at the University of Calabar. Prior to his employment in February 2019 as a Lecturer in Computer Science Department, he worked as Senior IT & Data Quality Supervisor at the Cross River Health and Demographic Surveillance System (CR-HDSS), Directorate of Research and Quality Assurance, University of Calabar for 8 years. His research interests include computing and health informatics, software engineering, database management, mobile computing and open-source-driven healthcare solutions. Anthony has participated in many research projects within and outside the University and has 7 journal publications, 5 conference papers and 3 Technical reports/guidelines to his credit.
