About Dr. Aniefiok Udoh Akpan

Dr Aniefiok Udoh Akpan started his career as a an academic staff in the University of Calabar in 1983 as a Graduate Assistant. He worked assiduously to the mental, emotional and physical development of students. Propelled by his desire to be a Chartered Accountant, he registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in 1987 and sat for the final professional part in 1991 where he passed in flying colours. In 1993 he was made the Head of Department of Accountancy, the post he occupied until March 1998. While in the Polytechnic, Calabar, he was the External Examiner for Akwa Ibom State polytechnic, Ikot Osurua and Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Uwana, Afrikpo. In September 1, 1998 he transferred his services to University of Calabar to start again. While in University of Calabar he started his Master of Science Degree in Accounting in 1999, and completed in 2002. In 2003 he started his Ph.D in Accounting and ended in 2007. Today he has B.Sc(Hons) Accounting University of Lagos (1982), MBA University of Calabar (1993), M.Sc. (Accounting) University of Calabar (2002), Ph.D Accounting University of Calabar (2007). He is now a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Accounting. He is a Christian married with four boys.
