About Dr. Abane Philip Okpechi

Dr. Okpechi, Philip Abane is a registered Guidance Counselor as well as a seasoned lecturer with the Department of Guidance and Counselling, Faculty of Education, University of Calabar, Calabar, Nigeria where he presently serves as department undergraduate project co-ordinator for both regular and sandwich programmes. He holds Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in Primary Education/Social Studies from Alvan Ikoku College of Education Owerri, Imo State, B.Ed in Education Foundation, Guidance and Counselling from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) Enugu State, M.Ed in Guidance and Counselling University of Calabar, Cross River State Nigeria and a Ph.D in Guidance and counselling from Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Nigeria. He is a member of Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON), a member Teacher Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) a member European Centre for Research Training and Development, Uk. He is a purpose driven and result oriented scholar with a great zeal to enhancing teaching and learning, academic advancement and community service. He has interest in career development in the society. Dr. Okpechi, Philip A. has authored and co-authored a number of scholarly articles in local and international journals, and also attended conferences where he presented a number of papers.
