A former Dean of the Faculty of Oceanography, University of Calabar, Prof Francis Asuquo has been appointed member of the International Scientific Advisory Board of the World Bank Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Prof Francis Asuquo is a member of the 8-man advisory board led by Prof martin Tsamenyi of the University of Wollongong, Australia and saddled with the honorary task of training and development of young African Professionals for the sustainable use and conservation of marine resources. The appointment which commences from 1st january, 2020 is for a term of two years. The Vice Chancellor, Prof Zana Akpagu has sent a message of felicitation to Prof Asuquo wishing him well in his new assignment.
