The University of Calabar Alumni Association will play host to the 4th Quarterly meeting of the Conference of Alumni Association of Nigerian Universities (CAANU) , a national umbrella of all Alumni Associations in Nigeria. in a release signed by the National President of the University of Calabar Alumni Association, Prof Yakubu Ochefu, the event will run from Friday,6th December, 2019 to Saturday, 7th December, 2019 at the Senate Chamber of the institution. The Vice Chancellor of the Institution, Prof Zana Akpagu is expected to declare the conference on the 7th of December, 2019. The release further states that while in Calabar, officials of CAANU will pay courtesy visits on the Governor of Cross River State and the Obong of Calabar.
