About Prof. Akon Esu O. Esu

Akon Esu O. Esu was employed as a Graduate Assistant. She has taught both undergraduate and graduate students for 38 years out of which 20 years as a Professor. I have supervised many PhD students and over 40 masters students. Many of these students are now professors and Associate Professors.in different universities. I developed the degree programmes in Elementary Education and Social Studies which make Unical the first university in Nigeria to have a degree programme in Elementary Education. I was in the team that brought the long vacation/ sandwich programme in Unical where we trained teachers all over the country. I served as member of Housing Allocation Committee, a member of A & P C for Junior Staff level5 and below, chairperson Mock Accreditation to for Unical, a member of the Governing Council, Head of Department and Dean of Education 2008 to 2010 and other Committees.
