About Mr. Enah Asinya Asinya

Enah Asinya is an experienced Geologist, an Environmentalist and a Lecturer in the Department of Geology, University of Calabar. Enah's teaching and research expertise lies in structural Geology, Mineral resources, Environmental geology, Environmental management systems (EMS), Carbon Foot printing, Environmental Law and Waste management. He joined the services of the University in 2015 as a Graduate Assistant and rose to the Rank of an Assistant Lecturer in 2016. Mr. Enah obtained His first degree in Geology from the department of Geology University of Calabar in 2011 and proceeded for His Masters in Structural Geology with Tectonic from the same University. He is one of the beneficiaries of the 2018 Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) overseas scholarship. This enabled Him to obtain a second masters degree in Environmental monitoring and Assessment from the University of Southampton,United Kingdom in 2019. He is currently a phD student in the University of Calabar researching on Structural geology and MIneral exploration. Enah's work has been Nationally recognized winning the First prize NMGS/Exxon mobile 2011 award for the best B.Sc project for all geo sciences student in Nigeria. He has been a consultant to a geologic firm;Onward Chafemba construction limited since 2015 till date. He is a certified member of the following professional bodies; Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA); Nigerian Minning and Geo science society(NMGS); Society of petroleum Engineers(SPE). With his expertise in geology and environmental sciences, Enah,s research interest include; Aeromagnetic interpretation and lineament studies, structural geology, mineral exploration, air quality modelling, EMS, Waste management, flood risk and flood prediction, paleo stress analysis and carbon foot printing. He has held sensitive positions in the University including departmental Timetable officer, Fieldwork coordinator etc.
