Aniefiok, Nkpoikana-Abasi is a Graduate Assistant in the Department of History and International Studies, University of Calabar. She made her first degree (B.A Hons.) from the department and graduated top of her class with a First Class. She is currently running a Master of Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Ibadan where she specializes in Internal Conflict. To satisfy the research requirement of her MA Programme, she is currently researching on “The Long-Term Implications of Teenage Motherhood for Community and National Security”. She is a member of the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP). Her research interest revolves around Gender and (International) Development; and Gender and Politics.
