About Mr. Hilary Ejim Egan

ComingHilary Ejim Egan Professional Social Studies teacher with 5 years of experience in teaching Social Studies at the university level. Hilary is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Jos, he obtained B.Sc.ed and Master’s degrees in Social Studies classroom management, participation, and test feedback from the same university in 2011 and 2017 respectively. He began his teaching career with the Department of Social Science Education, at the University of Jos in 2017 and joined the university of Calabar in 2019 to date, teaching community development and Family: The basic structure of the society at the undergraduate level, 13 published articles in learned journals and a chapter in the book. He successfully supervised 6 undergraduate projects and is still on 3 more. Hilary has attended the annual Conferences of the Social Studies Association of Nigeria (SOSAN) in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022, the 1st International African and Caribbean Mental Health Conference (IACMHC-1) 2021 Manchester University, UK among many others. Hilary is a member of the following Professional organizations: Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Social Studies Association of Nigeria (SOSAN), Social Studies and Civic Educators Association of Nigeria (SOSCEAN), and Curriculum Organization of Nigeria (CON). His research bias is Social Studies moral values, Social studies Curriculum Instructions, Classroom participation, Teachers' Mental Well-being, and Social Studies Teaching Pedagogy.
