Hails from Ikom Local government area of Cross River State in Nigeria.He possesses B.Sc (ESUT),M.Sc (UNN),Ph.D (UNN), all in Banking and Finance.His is married with children.He worked with Union Bank of Nigeria from 1981-2000 and rose to managerial cadre.His areas of specialization are Banking and finance.He has published various reputable journals locally and internationally.He has published a textbook titled "Nigerian Financial Environment"currently in the press.He is a lecturer in the department of Banking and Finance in the University of Calabar-Nigeria.
