Dr. Pauline Ekuri

Dr. (Mrs.) Pauline Ekuri is from Etung Local Government Area of Cross River, Nigeria. She has Diploma in Physical Education, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, B.Sc. in Human Kinetics and Health Education, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Master’s Degree (M.Ed.) from University of Ibadan and Ph.D from University of Ibadan. She is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education, University of Calabar, Nigeria. She has taught numerous courses ranging from undergraduate to Ph.D courses in Human Kinetics and Health Education. She has also supervised a large number of projects and theses in her area of specialization and other areas in Education. She has attended several conferences and presented papers in many e.g. International Conference on Information Technology and Economic Development (ICITED) 2016. Nigeria Association of Sports Science and Medicine (NASSIM) Annual Conference on Physical and Mental Health 2012. She served as Head of Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education (2014 – 2015) and Acting Head of Department of Extension and Distance Learning in Institute of Education (2006 – 2008). Other appointments include; Assistant Hall Warden 2004 – 2006), Hall Warden 2006. Member, NUGA Accreditation team, Director of Sports, Unical etc. She has to her name twenty (23) publications which can be found in both Foreign and Local Journals. She is also a recipients of several awards within and outside the University and belong to several professionals bodies. Ongoing research include: Standard facilities and equipment as determinants of high sport performance of Cross River State at National Sports Festival and qualified coaches as a requisite for enhanced sports performance of Cross River State at National Sports Festival.
