Ering, Simon Odey is a professor of Sociology with specialization in Development Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University Of Calabar, Calabar. He holds Ph.D from the University Of Calabar (2005) . Ering was Head of Department of Sociology,(2010-2012),: Co-ordinator Bachelor Social work(B.sc Social Work) Programme , University Of Calabar,(2006-2010): A member of management Team, Unical Distance Learning Programme (UDLP, 1998-2000): Co-ordinator, Diploma in Social Work (DSW) Unical Distance Learning Programme (UDLP) 1998-2000. A member of Senate Result Vetting Committee Faculty Of Arts, 2010 to date: A member Screening Committee, Faculty Of Law, 2011 to date. A member of University Of Calabar NYSC Vetting Committee 2016 to date: and a memberof University Of Calabar Strategic Planning and Resource Mobilization Committee, 2016 to date. Ering is Consultant to World Bank, UNICEF, WHO, NEWMAP ,UNH4,(UNICEF,WHO,WORLD BANK and UNDP): Ford Foundation, MacArthur Foundation, GPI (Girls Power Initiative) and a Vision 20:2020. He has successfully supervised 11(Eleven) Ph.Ds and 14 (Fourteen) M.scs.
