Mrs. Amiye Ruth Nyagunare

Graduate Assistant
History and International Studies

My name is Ruth Amiye, a native of Obanliku in Cross River State. I am a Graduate Assistant in the Department of History and International Studies, Faculty of Arts. I hold a B.A in History and International Studies with a Second Class Upper and a Cumulative Grade Point of 4.26. I also have a Masters in History and International Studies (In view) and awaiting the defence of my thesis titled “National Council of Women Societies and National Development: The Cross River Experience, 1999-2015". I have a flair for teaching, study and research development. My area of research is in Peace and Conflict Studies, Women and National Development. My desire is to impact knowledge on my students; making them useful to themselves and the society at large and also impact on humanity in general. I hope to contribute to the growing literature on Nation-building, National Development and Women Development. Furthermore, I have an excellent communication skill (both verbal and written) whilst being open to learning and taking corrections where necessary. I have also the ability to work under pressure.
