Dr. Edet Otu Essien

Associate professor
Theatre and Media Studies

Dr. Edet Otu Essien obtained B.A (Hons), M.A (Arts Administration and Ph.D (Arts Management) from the University of Calabar where he now teaches Theatre, Film and Carnival Studies. His experience in the arts as an academic and an artist spans many years within which he has featured in many Radio, Television, Film and Stage Productions. Essien is published in both foreign and local journals and has five Plays and many book chapters to his credit. He belongs to professional bodies like SONTA, NANTAP, AGN. He is married to Iniobong and they are blessed with three (3) children.
