Dr. Vitalis Ugochukwu Eke

Dr. Eke ,VitalisUgochukwu hails from Olido, ElugwuEzike in Igbo Eze North L.G.A of Enugu statet. He holds B.Ed Special Education(Jos, Nigeria). His passion for Exceptional children madehim to acquire his M.Ed in Guidance and Counselling needs of the Excepional children. (Nigeria) and finally he had his Ph.D in Special Education(Nigeria). He achieved his dream profession-teaching was his aspiration and desire from his primary education. He at first taught Elements of Special Education at Teacher Training college, Nsukka in Enugu state. He served as part time lecturer at Federal College of Education EhaAmufu, Enugu state.He was a resource person at AlvanIkoku Federal college of Education, Owerri, Imo state. He wasthe first special educator employed by the National Open University(NOUN) at the headquarters in Lagos. It was from the university ,NOUN, that he joined Department of Special Education, Faculty of Education, University of Calabar. He has and serves both his department and faculty in different capacities. He has authored some books, published upwards of thirty scholarly articles in both local and foreign journals. His research interest remain special education, persons with special needs and persons with visual impairment. He has passion for lecturing, researching and carrying out community services.
