Dr. FESTUS NKPOYEN

Senior Lecturer

Nkpoyen, Festus is a Senior Lecturer in the department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Calabar. He holds a Ph.D from the University of Calabar (2008). He joined the University of Calabar in 2008. He rose through the ranks to be promoted to the rank of Senior Lecturer in 2015. Since then, he has been contributing to the teaching and graduating of several students. He has attended and presented papers at eleven Local and International Conferences. He has published over forty five articles in both local and International peer review journals. He is serving the University as a Member Directorate of Research (2015 till date), Secretary- Departmental Graduate Board (2013 till date), Discussant for Ph.D and M.Sc. Internal Defence (2013), Chairman Constitution of Prostectus of the Bachelor in Social Work Review Committee (2017) and Member Faculty of Social Sciences Committee on Environmental Sanitation and Aesthetics. He has supervised and co-supervised over four graduate students. An Honorary Member-Work Study, Planning, Research and Forecasting Method Practitioners Association. A co-beneficiary of WHO Decision Maker Led Implementation Research Grant . He is a member of International Research and Development Institute (MIRDI). A United Nation’s Ambassador for Peace- Universal Peace Federation, State Chairman (Cross River) - International Gathering for Peace and Human Rights.
