Dr. James Etim Archibong

Senior Lecturer

James E. Archibong hails from Cross River State, Nigeria. He is a senior lecturer and teaches law at the University of Calabar. He holds a PhD in International Humanitarian Law and has taught International Law, International Humanitarian Law and Jurisprudence at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels. In addition to the academic responsibilities, he has served as Sub Dean; Faculty of Law Representative to the Senate of University of Calabar; Chairman, Faculty of Law Graduate Committee; and pioneer Acting Head of Department of Jurisprudence and International Law (2015 – 2016). He was appointed Acting Head of Department of Private and Property Law on 1st February, 2017. He has attended and delivered papers at several conferences, including the Annual ICRC Workshop on International Humanitarian Law for Law Teachers. Dr. Archibong is a member of professional associations, namely, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and Nigerian Association of law Teachers (NALTS). He has several publications to his credit.
